The French Football Federation group lifts the ban on licensing unaccompanied minors
The FFF has decided to disregard a FIFA circular, in force since the month of September, and to allow unaccompanied minors to obtain a license in order to replay matches.
“We will instruct our regional leagues competition to issue licenses for unaccompanied minor players (UAMs) to the clubs with amateur status.” This is how the French Football Federation (FFF) announced the lifting of the ban, in place since the month of September, in a letter sent Thursday morning to FIFA office and the leagues, which AccaPerdict was able to consult. “It turns out that this measure is contrary to French law because it is discriminatory. Despite with the FIFA’s position, our law prevails,” Jean-François Vilotte, the FFF’s director general, told us last week.
