Kevin McKenna is set to return to 1. FC Köln as an assistant coach for the upcoming season. His appointment sees René Wagner add a familiar face to his coaching staff, having worked alongside McKenna under Steffen Baumgart since 2021.
After René Wagner was confirmed as 1. FC Köln’s new head coach, the club began building its coaching team for the new season. On Wednesday, Köln announced Kevin McKenna as Wagner’s assistant coach. The former Canada international is returning to the club where he made 153 appearances as a player and previously worked as a coach alongside Wagner.
