Off to a good start in Ligue 1 game but already struggling in the Champions League competition: is Lille equipped to compete on all fronts?
LOSC’s with poor start in the Champions League game after their lose against Betis Seville with (2-3) and on the pitch against Arsenal with (0-3) lose on Tuesday night, raise doubts about the ability of the Lille squad to manage both the European Cup and Ligue 1 competition.
The reactions of the Lille players after their humiliating with 3-0 lose against Arsenal on Tuesday night revolved around their lack of courage and audacity. They pointed to their defensive lapses after the hour mark, their difficulty in playing the ball out from the back under pressure, and, more broadly, the superiority of their opponent team. All of this is quite accurate, and to this must be added the collective mental collapse experienced by the entire team from the moment the English league opened the scoring in the (64minute).
