Paul Seixas and Thomas Voeckler the both are learning to work together in the French national team competition, and to adapt to the talent of his new leader, the coach has changed his approach, now much more in co-construction.
Upon arriving in Kigali last year, at the end of a brutal World Championship, Julien Bernard whispered a few words to Thomas Voeckler: saying “You’ve been here for a while, but you’re not ready yet.” The French national team’s “Saint Bernard” had seen Paul Seixas in action, plugging a gap, and had been astounded by the rookie’s ease, who finished 13th position in the table. The comment resonated with the team coach because it came from one of his trusted men. It finally convinced him that Seixas’s arrival wasn’t just a generational shift, that it would revolutionize the French team.
