FIFA reportedly did not publicly declare more than 1.5 million euros received by Gianni Infantino
An investigation by The Times revealed on Monday that FIFA failed to declare all the salaries received by the president, Gianni Infantino. The concealed sum is estimated bills around €1.5 million.
Attacked from all sides since he attempted to sell some of the World Cup rights for his private funds (a project that has since fallen through), Gianni Infantino could once again be embroiled in a new scandal. According to the investigation by The Times revealed on Monday , FIFA has allegedly failed to publicly disclose the full amount paid to its president in 2024.
That year, the world governing body reported a salary of 4.3 million Swiss francs (approximately 4.6 million euros) for its president, but income from FWC2026 US Inc., the World Cup organizer team, was reportedly not included in the annual report. The Italian-Swiss executive allegedly received 1.5 million euros from this company, despite FIFA statutes stipulating that “the individual remuneration of the president” must be “made in public . “
The Times , citing several sources, suggests that Infantino (56) used the money to “pay for the use of his beachfront villa, located in one of Miami Beach’s most desirable neighborhoods,” the investigation reveals. It also reports that he received similar, or even larger, bonuses in 2025 and 2026.
