No expansion, problems in the stands, and standing room: the Emirates Stadium, twenty years old and already old
Although it has barely celebrated its twentieth anniversary, and also still generates solid revenues, the Emirates Stadium, Arsenal’s stadium which hosts Lille on this Tuesday evening by (21:00p.m.) in the Champions League game, appears a little outdated in some areas.
The dreams of grandeur are over. On October 1st, Arsenal management released a statement indicating that its project to expand the Emirates Stadium football, which would have increased its capacity from 60,704 seats to over 70,000 project, has been halted: “We share the desire to develop the Emirates football Stadium gradually, rather than undertake a large-scale change.”
