A major blow for Olympique Lyonnais: Mohamed Ouédraogo has ruptured his cruciate ligament.
Olympique Lyonnais wing back Mohamed Ouédraogo has torn his cruciate ligament in training and will miss several months of games. Moussa Niakhaté, suffering from a thigh leg injury, will also miss the Friday’s match against Lens.
Olympique Lyonnais has lost Mohamed Ouédraogo for an extended period now. The 23-year-old wing-back, who has seen limited playing time since he arrival from SCR Altach this summer – two starts and four match appearances in total – suffered a serious knee injury this week in training camp. He has ruptured his cruciate ligament and
will therefore miss several months of competition now. During Burkina Faso’s last international break game, the Burkinabé international (10 caps) did not play a single minute and was on the bench side. This is a significant blow for Olympique Lyonnais, even though the club can also count on two other players in his wing position: Abner Vinicius and Nicolas Tagliafico.
Niakhaté unavailable against Lens club.
Moussa Niakhaté, who played two full matches for Senegal national team before missing the game due to his injury against Comoros at the Vélodrome on October with (1-0) , will also be unavailable for this match in Pas-de-Calais. However, his absence, due to a thigh injury, will of course be less severe.
