Fewer mountain bikes but more disciplines: the Roc d’Azur is following the evolution of the outdoor sports market
The Roc d’Azur returns to Fréjus for its 42nd edition this week October 7-11 2026. The iconic mountain biking event embodies the evolution of the outdoor sports market and has opened itself up to other disciplines.
Today this Wednesday and until Sunday, the Roc d’Azur will be holding its 42nd edition at the Fréjus nature reserve (Var) and in the Maures and Estérel mountain ranges. On the program: nearly 70 mountain biking, cycling, and outdoor sports events for more than 20,000 participants in the competition, as well as a free expo where around 300 exhibitors are expected over five days. When it was created in the year 1984, the event was entirely dedicated to mountain biking.
