Canadian Derek Gee-West withdraws from the World Championships road race competition
Canadian Derek Gee-West, who fell heavily during the Montreal Grand Prix and injured his ribs during the race, will not be participating in the World Championship road race on this Sunday in Montreal.

“ Unfortunately, my recovery following my crash at the Montreal GP wasn’t fast enough to get me into a condition where I could race properly in any time soon, contribute to the team, and justify my starting position,” commented Derek Gee-West, who will be replaced on Sunday by Guillaume Boivin. “ But I’m still looking forward to experiencing the atmosphere of the World Championships in Montreal, but this time, it will be on the other side of the fence. ”
