Sought after the summer transfer window, Moroccan midfielder Yassin Belkhdim (24 years old) has a clearer idea: he will stay at SCO and will have an important role to play in Stéphane Gilli’s midfield.
With the transfer window closed and doubts dispelled, Yassin Belkhdim can now focus on Angers team, who host Rennes this Sunday on the 5:15 pm. “Summer is a time when the mind is a little disturbed ,” the 24-year-old Moroccan midfielder admitted on Friday.
Despite interest from several clubs, Stéphane Gilli’s approach and his repositioning in midfield convinced him to stay in the team. Last season, he mainly played on the right wing side. “He’s going to give me more freedom. It was very important for me to play in my natural wing position ,” he explains.
