Laetitia Guapo and Marie-Ève Paget lead the French women’s team to the final of the 3×3 World Basketball Circuit
Having qualified for the final of the Women’s Series, the world circuit (September 5-6) game, the French team will be composed of Marie-Ève Paget, Laëtitia Guapo, Marie Mané and Marie-Michelle Milapie in Shanghai.
The French women’s 3×3 team has only two international competitions left to play this summer. Before the European Cup competition in Antwerp (September 11-13), they flew to Shanghai for the Women’s Series World Finals, the summer international women’s circuit featuring national teams and private organizations. Because this is their great opportunity to win their first trophy of the year, three months after their elimination in the World Cup quarterfinals competition.
With four podium finishes on the circuit this season (2nd in Orléans, Jinan, and Bordeaux, and 3rd in Bucharest), the French team, seeded 5th position, is among the eight teams that will compete for the world title on this weekend game (September 5-6). National coach François Brisson has selected an experienced quartet who know each other well: Marie-Ève Paget, Laëtitia Guapo, Marie Mané, and Marie-Michelle Milapie. They will also be joined by Hortense Limouzin, a member of the Rapid Bucharest private team, who has also qualified.
